"AMM-June Kit"

We are having a nice, sunny day here yesterday compared to yesterday's rainy, gray day. It almost felt like a dark, fall day..
This weekend we spent lots of time at the pool:

and finally had a family photo taken of all four of us:

I also got to finish up some 4th of July layouts that I had wanted to get done using the AMM June Kit and some Rusty Pickle papers.
.

I have also come to the realization of two things after all these years of scrapping:
1. I suck at stamping, nice clean lines..My stamps are always splotchy and uneven.
2. I hate working with Glimmer Mists..I never like what I do and I am always disappointed.

Oh well, I guess I will just keep working on it...
Have a great day!!!

Michael's finds and a Shadowbox

Is there anything sweeter those those first few smiles??
well maybe this..

I can't believe the little one is 8 weeks old today..my little luv bug.

I have been working on a shadowbox using my "A Million Memories" June Kit. I had been saving it until I found just the right photo to use. I got the idea and quote from a back issue of "Scrapbook Trends". I think it came out really cute.

I went to Michael's and found some really cute Helen Dardik 4th of July papers:
These will be really great for the photos I have from the holiday.

I also scored a bunch of that new MM Vintage Findings line:

I got a couple of the little kits that have themes like: "school", "girl", "baby", & "travel" and they had lots of great little trims and accessories.

I am not sure exactly what I am going to use these for, but I am sure I will figure something out. Off to scrap!! Have a great Wednesday!

It's been tooooooo long!!!

So sorry, Mr. Blog..But, I do have a good excuse for this two month lag..

Introducing Ms. Bailey Paige!
Born May 20, 2009
4 lbs. 14 oz. ---18 1/4"
"my little peanut"

But, she is happy, healthy and loves to eat. She is already about 9 lbs..

Plus, this little/big one has been busy as ever..
Here she is washing her dolls in the sink!!!

Then we had the fourth of July holiday with friends in, fireworks shows, parades and BBQ's to attend..

But, amid all the chaos, I have been able to get some scrapping in.
Here are some layouts from the "A Million Memories" July kit, which I have to say is one of my favorites to date. There was lots of fabulous new Basic Grey and Prima goodness going on here, which was just perfect for all of my baby pictures that I have been taking lately.

That is all for now..Mr. Blog, I promise I won't leave you alone for so long again.
Have a wonderful day!

Will it ever be sunny again??

Boy, it just has been a couple of gray and rainy days around here..I NEED some sunshine.
I hope that everyone got to do something fun and creative for National Scrapbooking Day on Saturday. I participated in a couple of games and challenges on the "A Million Memories" boards, including this challenge in which I had to use polka dots, distressing, glitter, handwritten journaling, and ribbon.
Here is what I came up with:

I found this paper in my stash and finally used up this older ribbon.

I just love these new papers from My Mind's Eye that I used on these Spring layouts.
They are very different styles, but I love them both

And here' s the layout:

Penny Lane paper:

That's it..Maybe the sun will come out.....Tomorrow.....
Have a great day!!!

American Crafts Layouts..

This year I think I have gone American Crafts crazy with all the fabulous new lines that they have come out with lately. I did a lot of Easter layouts this week.

Here are two layouts using some AC for some "April Showers" pictures:

Their products are so cute and who can resist all those new Thickers that are our right now?
Have a great weekend..It is supposed to rain around here..Oh well, at least we had great weather last weekend!

Let's Get Ready for the HOT weather!

Isn't it funny how crazy, everyone used to go over licenced papers?? It's kind of an outdated trend now...sort of.. I still like them "once" in a while..

This weekend is supposed to be in the mid-80's!! I can't wait! I love hot Summer weather.
The weather should be great for my flowers as well. Isabel just loves getting her hands dirty out there.

I used some Imaginisce and LYB papers for these. I got some great Makine Memories journaling tags, chipboard, and flowers from Target a couple of weeks ago on Clearance. So love a good deal on scrapping supplies!!!

I did a retro layout using some Sassafrass. The photos are of me when I was little playing outside just like some photos I took of Isabel last summer playing with the hose..Life comes full circle, doesn't it?? I love that the art of scrapbooking allows us to revisit so much from our own childhood experiences.

Speaking of childhood, I snapped these silly shots of Isabel and finally scrapped them using some old BG paper:

That's it for now..Have a great Thursday ..And hope your weather will be as nice as ours is supposed to be!!

Spring is in the Air...

And we all know what that means..Time for those lovely garden photos and outdoor shots. I think this might be one of my all time favorite photos thus far taken of my daughter in front of the newly blooming daffodils and her little daisy umbrella.. Very "scrapworthy" I must say...

In my never-ending quest to use up old supplies (as I have some new stuff coming in from 2 Peas this week), I did a layout using this older SEI line, but I think it works well with the gardening theme.
Here is a layout using my AMM March kit..There is some SEI paper here too... I did the white corner vines using the Prima flower packaging as a stencil with my white Ranger pen.
Some Love, Elsie paper that (sniff, sniff) is no more...

Isabel and her first Barbie.. A layout I have been meaning to do for a year.
I got the idea for this layout from a layout I saw in MM magazine. I used some grungeboard and some stamps from an old Studio Calico Kit.

Have a great Monday! Thanks for stoppin in!!
