Little Girls and Pigtails

Isabel has been letting me put her hair in pigtails a lot lately which is rare for her, but maybe she is finally turning into a real girl!
We had a busy weekend visiting the animals at the zoo and I got to scrap a couple of layouts using my Studio Calico May Kit:

And I did a layout of one of my baby dresses that is hanging in Isabel's closet, although she actually never wore it.

I am still waiting for my Grand Prize to come in the mail. I think it will be here tomorrow. I will post some pic.s when I get.
That's it for now..off to make some mini-meatloaves courtesy of my old faithful cooking companion M. Stewart.
Ciao..

Rainy Monday

I'm glad today is a chilly, rainy day as I need to catch up on my blogging. I finished my banner for Isabel's room. I used the Jenni Bowlin studio chipboard banner, glitter, lace, buttons, tulle, and Prima flowers. It looks so pretty and fresh in her room.

I also did a layout from my AMM May Kit. I love making the distressed paper flowers and adding stitching using embroidery floss:

This weekend I went to the NJ Memories Expo. It was lots of fun and I bought more than what I expected-lots of Stickles, Prima flowers and leaves, 7 Gypsies ATC holder, Pink Paislee stamps, and lots of Making Memories paper..Good fun. Here is a pic. of me at the Expo by the "infamous" SEI trailer.

And lastly, my May Studio Calico kit arrived. I love that this kit has the coordinating cardstock. The kit will be great fun to work with those Sunny colors and cool Sasafrass Lass/Hambly items:
Have a Great week! See ya!

I won Something!!! I really won!!

Well, so I thought I was having a sunny and lovely Cinco De Mayo as I just recieved my May "A Million Memories" kit:Which is so soft and lovely and I am thinking of the ways I am going to use it. I have to love it as there is a paper titled "isabel" and it is so pretty just like my little flower.
But here's the kicker....Remember that all weekend long crop at AMM that I just participated in?? Well there was a Grand Prize.
One Grand Prize. I won it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it. I FINALLY won something. The winner was based upon a random drawing and the more layouts you submitted, the more chances you got to win... Wow! I can't wait to get it!!! I will post pic.s when it arrives. It is a PLETHORA of paper and embellies... How Cool! Thanks for Reading!

Happy Sunday!

So it was a very busy "scrap"themed weekend with it being National Scrapbook Day on Saturday. There was an all weekend Crop with challenges on the AMM Message Board. I worked on and posted 13 layouts. See Here:

Saturday my LSS, Scraptasia, had a NSD sale and the entire store was 20% off so I picked up a few things:

Finally, and best of all today I got a new camera. It is a Sony with 8mp, 10x optical zoom, and a sports mode shutter speed. I can't wait to figure it out and start snapping pics. with it!

Ciao for Now,

Lauren

Hello and Welcome to my very first BLOG entry!!

Happy Early National Scrapbooking Day!!
Actually, it's become more of National Scrapbooking Month!! As I write this, I am watching that crazy guy Dave on QVC selling what else??? Scrap Stuff!! But I am being good and not buying anything.
Why you ask? Well because I have become addicted to joining monthly kit clubs. I currently belong to three (A Million Memories, Studio Calico, and Bad Girls). I would like to keep that number at three or less. The kit clubs are great though because you get a box full of supplies you would never combine , much less purchase together and then you get ideas from their Design Teams for layouts and projects using those items. For me, I have been experimenting with products and techniques I have never tried before. So it is great fun!
The other reasons why I am being good today are listed below:
1. I spend enough each month already!!!
2. The products on QVC are usually in bulk and I really don't need 3,000 more Prima flowers to add to the 10,000 that I already have.
3. My LSS store is having a NSD sale tomorrow, so I will be hitting that up!!
4. The NJ Memories Expo scrapbook show is next Sat. so I need to set aside some ca$hola for that!
Anyway, I gotta go check the boards and see what's shaking. Thanks for reading my inaugural BLOG entry.
Luv, Me
