Dreaming of Summer....

Today is a Snowy, Friday..School has been cancelled in anticipation of the 6-10 inches of snow that we are supposed to get..The girls are working on some Valentine's Day projects for school and I am starting to tap into the February Studio Calico Kit, "Front Row"









I wanted to share some of my layouts completed with the January Kit, "Block Party"

Tried to do a Tie-Dye Style Mist with some Mr. Huey's

Layered this vellum piece over cardstock and found a use for those "Geotag" things

Ahhh..The MS Butterfly Punch..Always a staple..

This kit had such bright fun colors to work with..especially during the gray, cold days of January..Hopefully, the Feb. kit will be just as much fun...

Holiday Layouts

Ok, so I am getting these in just before January ends...I don't know why, but it seems like Christmas and the Holidays were so long ago and I feel like I need to finish all of my Holiday layouts before January ends..Maybe it is that I get tired of all that lovely Red & Green and looking at all of my supplies..But, they are done and I have collaged them, otherwise they just take up to much space...These are a few..mind you I always no matter what, end up doing so many layouts..I guess it is just so fun to take pictures of the girls at Christmastime and they are growing so fast..So here are some of my faves..

In between all of the activity, I have been trying to fit in some time to work on my December Daily album and I have also been working on completing my Fall and Thanksgiving layouts.

Halloween Layouts...

It has been quite a Fall around here.
We got a little snow the other day and it is yes, still November!

Rudolph was happy about the snow!

Halloween came and went with Hurricane Sandy cancelling most of our Halloween activities. The weekend before the Hurricane luckily we got out and did a little trick or treating in one of the town's local trick or treat events..So I did get to capture the girls in costume..The year before was a bust too because we had a freak snowstorm that cancelled school and most Halloween events as well...Crazy!!!
I finished my layouts and now can happily say that I can move onto my December Daily..
I was fortunate enough to go to Michael's a few days after the storm and scored a bunch of embellishments and paper Super Cheap! Like a huge K&Company 12x12 paper pad for $2..Awesome!  I needed some Halloween paper so it worked out really well.

This paper was from a SC kit, not Halloween, but when I see B&W like this, I immediately want to pair it with some orange.

Whew!! What a relief to move forward..Scrapbooking is a job that never finishes...There is always the next season, holiday, and event to document..That is the fun..but it is a lot of work..isn't it??? But it is so worth it especially when your kids love to see their pictures years later...

Sunflower Sisters

 Every Fall we go apple picking at a farm that has the most beautiful flower fields of Sunflowers and Zinnias that grow so tall and colorful. That is where we love to take pictures and when I found these sunflower outfits for the girls, I just knew we had to wear them when we were going there.

Don't get me wrong, apple picking is great fun too!

There is just something about Fall photos that are so much fun to scrap!!! I just love this time of year working on Autumn layouts and soon to come, Halloween projects..
