Just Beachy!

It's been HOT! Real hot! I love Summer so it is just fine with me, but the little ones need cool fun..
We spent a day at the beach last week and they had a great time

playing in the water

digging in the sand

and just being silly

I love to watch two sisters playing nicely

And taking pictures as the sun starts to fade

It wouldn't be Summer without a trip to the beach!!!

It's been a while and we have been busy doing lots of Summer things:

I have been working with the Noel Mignon July kit, "Sunkissed".  This was my first kit from Noel and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the quantity of paper and embellishments in this kit.  There is lots of We Are Memory Keepers and the new Echo Park line.  The kits always seemed a bit pricey to me, but I would definitely order one of her kits again.
Here are some of my layouts:

I added some bits and pieces here and there, but for the most part I used the kit.. I have been busy.  I think I work better when I do a bunch of layouts at one time, laying them down on paper and then going back to fine tune with journaling and embellishments..

I also did a couple of layouts with my May/June A Million Memories kits:

And this one has lot's of October Afternoon.  I love layering lots of little photos into a collage:

That is it for right now..It is raining and dreary here..Makes me think of Fall..But, I am Definitely NOT ready for that yet..The sun should be back tomorrow and we are planning on heading to the beach! Yay!

Summer Girls

It's Hot!!! 92 today and humid..
I don't mind the heat, but it can get uncomfortable..Good thing we have a pool in  our neighborhood to keep cool!

Isabel loves the water and swimming, while this little one is still getting used to the big pool.

I have been working with my Studio Calico June kit this week.  I have been stockpiling October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket it seems like, so I had a bunch of papers to add to the kit from my own stash.
 Here's a couple layouts from the kit:

I wish I could get more done, but this little one is walking and getting into lots of "trouble" as usual...

So she is keeping me quite occupied!

Early Summer Fun!

Even though we have a pool in our neighborhood, I just love it when we get out the baby pool and the girls just hang out in the backyard.
Splashing around, blowing bubbles, and just relaxing..

I love it when they play so nicely together!

Speaking of nature....I found this little cutie hanging out on my peonies the other day..

What a great shot!!!  She just makes me smile..

I have been hard at work scrapping photos from Bailey's 1st Birthday..It has been so fun to use lots of Maya Mists with them..I like them so much better than Glimmer Mist..
Here's a few layouts:

I used Melissa Frances crepe paper to make the flowers and then sprayed them with some Maya Mist.

The "big" kids had a great time with the candy buffet.  They loved eating the swirly pops, marshmallow lollies, gummi bears, chocolate and gumballs!!

 

I used the A Million Memories June kit for the layout above.

 

This layout features a picture of me from when I was little with my mouse doll and Bailey, today, with her mouse dolly.  I used the Sassafras "Nerdy Bird" line..

Now, I am just waiting on some new AC D-ring albums to arrive in the mail so I can file these...

I just ordered the July Kit for Noel Mignon.  It is so fresh and fun..I can't wait to do some Summer layouts with it!
